Vacation!

   Soooo... Joe just turned 33 on the 25th. I never really think about our age difference until he has a birthday. Ha! I know its really not that big of a difference but sometimes 7 years seems like alot! He always teases me that I married an Old man and I always tell him to brag that he married someone young! lol! We have a fun relationship, and I love him very much! I really believe that there is someone for everyone and he is my someone for sure. :D I really cant imagine life without him! So, for his birthday Wendover sent us 2 free nights! I decided that that is what we would do for his birthday, and i CANT WAIT! We deserve a vacation!
    So funny story... 2 days ago Joe had been in west valley at my dads and his moms house and somehow lost his wallet.. (big surprise...) and we were looking in the cars and all over the place for it, yesterday i realized if he didn't find it my.. i mean our vacation couldn't happen so we went to west valley where i found his wallet under the coffee table in his moms front room. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?! Anyone who knows Joe knows his wallet should be glued to his head! :) 
   So anyway, we are going to go tomorrow, i just have alot of chores to do today. UGH! Anyway, i am so excited to spend time with Joe, but I am a crazy mom and even though i am leaving my children in capable hands, I always have that what if in my head.. Am i the only one? I know that they are going to be taken care of and spoiled and they are excited, but I am not away from them much and 2 nights is a LONG time for me! :) 
   Everytime we go to wendover i secretly think we will win big, but i have this constant fight in myself where the other side is saying don't think that or it wont happen.. So maybe just wish me luck! 

My Girls!

 Olivia will be 2 in a little over a month! wow time flies! She is definitely in the terrible 2's already. Picking fights, being a nudist any chance she gets! She is so dang cute she gets a way with way more than she should!

Zenna has always been a good girl. She is a great sister to Olivia and has an AMAZING imagination! She will be 4 in 4 months!

Adoption

I was reading a friend of mines blog today about her adoption story. Reading her blog made me realize how special adoption is. Not only are you doing what you think is best for your baby, but you are doing something amazing for people who want to become parents, but for whatever reason cant do it on their own. I cant begin to express how amazed i am with her story, her strength is something that i couldn't even dream of having. I was thinking alot about this, and alot about becoming a surrogate, although its not adoption, i think it would be a great way to give someone the best gift in the whole world. :)

Something new

This may sound crazy, but tonight Joe is working and i was a little bored so i came to the computer to read ksl.com While i was on there i noticed the article about their Wednesday child.( http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=19500096&title=wednesdays-child-oliver&s_cid=queue-16 ) I was reading this, and this boy is 12 years old and has been in foster care, and is looking for a permanent home. As i was reading about him, i realized how much he has in common with my little family, He loves fishing and the outdoors, he loves hiking and origami (which i just started working on quilling which is a paper art) He seems to be a good kid who has just had it bad. I have read these articles a few times but as i was reading this today I just felt like i was meant to read it, like maybe he belongs with us. I know that might sound crazy, but really it was such a strong overpowering feeling. I think i'm really going to talk this over with Joe. :) well see what he says :)

I wish I was more independent and alot smarter!

I feel like a horrible mother today. We were invited to a play group with our cousins to exchange valentines today. But we aren't able to go because Joe and I took Olivia's car seat apart to wash it (it NEEDED it!) and we haven't put it back together yet. It was so hard to take apart and looking at the pieces i cant figure out how to put it back together. I feel like I have failed my children. We don't get out enough and its my fault. I should take them places and not rely on Joe to take us. we should just go! ugh.. I just feel so bad that my kids are missing out on a fun time with their cousins all because i cant put our car seat back together.

Wow its been a long time!

When i started my blog i was really excited to keep it up to date, and i just realized how long its been! lol! Things have been crazy around here with the holidays. Olivia is growing so fast and is learning to talk! New words she has picked up on bye grandpa - bye bapah and she says hot dog and uh uh for no, and shoes are eish, and bears are beas. she is just growing up. She has been wearing clothes that i just took out of Zenna's drawers 6 months ago. Its just crazy how fast they grow! Zenna is growing too! she can sing ANY Christmas song from any of the "Christmas classics" and talks so well. (thanks to aunt Jessica of course who she says teaches her everything!) Last night in the car she said something about her nose being messed up and that she needed puffs plus lotion because they work every time. She is just cute! The girls are playing together more and more and for the most part they get along, but most fight are caused by Olivia. ha ha! She may be little but she pushes and pulls hair and hits. she is definitely the aggressor! anyway that's a little update for now. Christmas photos to come shortly. :)

I was just going through some pictures and found this! I love that Zenna is trying to be so sweet! Olivia is just saying, mom put down the camera and save me! lol! I love these little stinkers!

 I love Zenna in rollers! It reminds me of when i was little! we loved having rollers in out hair! She is just cute!

We always feed Olivia naked! she just makes to big of a mess and its easier to just feed her naked then to treat all the stained clothes! besides she is such a cute little naked baby!
